Bill Stafford

William S. Stafford (Bill) is an executive residing in Charleston, SC, with his wife, Mia. They have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

Upon graduation from The Citadel, Bill became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and served eight years in leadership and operation assignments in the Signal Corps and Artillery. Bill joined Pfizer in 1986 and held various positions of responsibility within sales, benefits, product development, and managed markets globally. In 2010, Bill was inducted into the Pfizer Hall of Fame. After retiring in 2019, Bill was engaged in developing and leading a new consulting/sales group in the cancer diagnostics arena for Exact Sciences. In 2022, Bill founded Semaphore Associates, a consulting firm that assists multiple healthcare vendors with their go-to-market strategies. In 2023, Bill joined MDA as the Chief Development Officer and was subsequently named interim CEO and President in 2024. and is now serving as their Chief Commercial Officer. Bill also serves on the advisory boards for Engage Technologies, Crytica, and SkinIO.

Bill has been recognized within the health industry as a thought leader and has served as a Board Member of the National Association of Health Underwriter's Foundation, as Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI), as a member of the Leadership Advisory Board for the Institute for Health and Productivity Management (IHPM) and the Worksite Wellness Alliance, and as a Board Member of the National Business Group on Health's Institute for Health, Productivity and Human Capital Management. In 2021, IHPM presented Bill with their President's Award for his leadership in advancing and promoting health and productivity globally.

Bill is an active member of St Philip's Church in Charleston, is a community volunteer, volunteers and sits on the Charleston Fisher House Board of Directors, serves as the President of The Citadel Alumni Association, is a Board Member for St Alban's Chapel at The Citadel, is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Commission, is a member of the North Carolina St Andrew's Society, is a member of the Royal Society of St George, and is the National Co-Chair for Membership and is the Charleston Regional Co-chair of the Priory of the Venerable Order of St John.
