About the Ride

Every mile makes a difference.

The Fisher House Freedom Ride is a scenic group motorcycle ride through the Lowcountry, presented by Friends of Fisher House Charleston in partnership with Low Country Harley-Davidson and 181 Over the Horizon Brewing. Now in its second year, the ride brings together an expected 80 to 100 riders for a fully police-escorted procession that starts at Low Country Harley-Davidson and ends with an afternoon celebration at Over the Horizon Brewing.

Riders of all bikes are welcome. There is no sign-up ahead of time — registration happens the morning of the event, onsite at Low Country Harley-Davidson. Every rider, passenger, and supporter helps raise money for military and veteran families at the Charleston Fisher House.

The Mission

Keeping veteran families together during medical treatment.

The Charleston Fisher House provides families with private rooms and shared common spaces at no cost while a loved one receives care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center.
