Chris Ward

Chris Ward has served the Department of Defense community for over thirty years. As an Information Professional in the U.S. Navy, she was responsible for deploying and securing mission ready networks across the Fleet. Since her retirement in 2005, she has worked as a Consultant to help match technology gaps within the Department of Defense with Industry solutions.

Chris brings a unique perspective to the Friends of Fisher House Charleston board, having served previously as the Executive Director before joining the Board as a member. Her extensive experience in both military service and nonprofit leadership provides invaluable insight into the operational challenges and opportunities facing the organization.

Her three decades of service to the Department of Defense, combined with her hands-on experience leading Fisher House Charleston, makes her an essential voice in strategic planning and organizational development. Chris understands both the military culture and the practical needs of families seeking support during medical crises.
