1,000 Flags Fly at the 11th Annual Daniel Island Field of Honor

One thousand American flags now line the waterfront at River Landing Park, each one honoring a personal hero. The 11th Annual Daniel Island Field of Honor is hosted by the Exchange Club of Daniel Island and is free and open to the public through July 5.
Flags remain available for dedication to a veteran, an active-duty service member, a family member, or any personal hero. Proceeds from the display benefit Friends of Fisher House Charleston, One80 Place, and the Tri-County Veterans Support Network.
Thank you to the Exchange Club of Daniel Island for hosting, to the sponsors who made the field possible, and to the volunteers who raised every flag in the summer heat — together turning the park into a striking tribute along the Charleston waterfront.
