L&M Fabrications Donates ADA Handrail to the Charleston Fisher House

New dark metal ADA handrail installed on the exterior entrance steps of the Charleston Fisher House

After touring the Charleston Fisher House and learning about the veteran families it serves, the team at L&M Fabrications decided to give something back. They donated and installed a new ADA-accessible handrail at the entrance closest to the parking lot — the highest-traffic entry point at the facility — at no cost to the organization.

The handrail improves safety and accessibility for every family arriving at the House, many of whom are navigating difficult circumstances while a loved one receives care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center next door.

It’s the kind of gift that’s easy to overlook but felt by everyone who walks through that door. Thank you to L&M Fabrications for seeing a need and stepping up to meet it.
