The 2026 Military Salute Regatta

The rain held off, the wind ran a touch light, and Charleston Harbor was as beautiful as ever for the 2026 Military Salute Regatta.

Each year, the Military Salute Regatta pairs active-duty service members and veterans with local skippers for a day of free racing on the harbor, followed by an awards celebration on shore. Proceeds support two veteran nonprofits: Veterans on Deck, which provides therapeutic sailing programs, and Friends of Fisher House Charleston, which keeps the Charleston Fisher House open for veteran families receiving care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center.

A heartfelt thank you to the regatta steering committee, to title sponsor Blackbaud, and to every sponsor, volunteer, and skipper who made the day possible. A regatta like this only happens when a community shows up for it.
